Meet Dr. Len Chumak

Dr. Chumak grew up in Ottawa and attended Ridgemont and Colonel By high schools. At the age of 12, Dr. Chumak had braces and it was then that he decided he wanted to be an orthodontist. He attended The University of Toronto Dental Faculty and graduated in 1981 at the age of 22. Then he obtained his master’s degree in orthodontics from The University of Western Ontario in 1985.

After teaching at Western for two years, Dr. Chumak moved to Lahr, Germany to be the orthodontist on the Canadian Forces military base. He returned to his native Ottawa in 1993 and set up his private practice in Centrepointe.

Dr. Chumak is a faculty member at The University of Western Ontario. He frequently attends continuing education courses to remain current with technology and treatment options. He is a past president of the Ottawa Dental Society and an examiner for the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Chumak’s positive experience with his own orthodontic treatment gave him the incentive to pursue a career in dentistry. He feels there is nothing more special than giving his patients a smile that will last a lifetime.
